Piano Pieces

My cccrraaazzzzyyyyy piano teacher gave me 3 piano pieces to practice during the holidays and also to play it for him. One of it is my exam piece. Well, at least thats excusable. The other two is my assignment from him. Grrrr.... If he isn't such a good teacher. I would KILL HIM already! One of it is call "The Maiden's Prayer". The other one is "Etude Op.10 no.12" by Federick Chopin. Actually at 1st, I'm only assigned to practice 2 pieces. But when I asked him...

Me: Teacher, do you know how to play Etude Op.10 no.12 by Chopin?
Teahcer: *playing like theres no tmw*
Me: wow..O.O.. got the piece or not??
Teacher: Got.. wait ar.. let me find it for you... *searching searching*.. FOUND IT!
Me: waa... cool!!
Teacher: Since you have nothing much to do during the holidays.. Play this one also la.. This will be a little bit hard for you right now... I think at the end you'll surrender 1 la..
Me: WHAT!!! RAWR!!! don't look down on me la teacher..
Teacher: OK lo... so go home and practice 3 pieces k k??
Me:................................. Oh....

Me and my BIG mouth! Haihz... Oh well, guess I need to get fingers moving and cracking right now..

Let's look at "The Maiden's Prayer".. Shall we??

Like everyone who plays musical instruments would tell you that you should play like your telling a story. And to also know how the composer wants you to play the piece. Well, this is my view of the "story" of this piece. Hmmmm.. A beautiful maiden who is trapped in a beautiful house. With too much money to splurge on. And too many luxurious things that she owns. But still, she felt empty. So she make a prayer. To find love. And let it come back to her sooner or later. Or perhaps one day she would like a change in her life. Where her richful life right now, is just too dull and boring for her.
Yea, I guess thats it. Haha.. I mean, when I hear my teacher playing it. It kinda sounds like so.. Heh heh...
The next piece.."Etude Op.10 No.12"
"Etude Op.10 No.12" by Chopin.
I'm seriously telling you that THIS IS NOT AN EASY piece AT ALL! In fact, its very hard! For me, this piece means pain. Coz when Chopin compose this piece. He was very very ill. So he compose this piece to show how much pain he was in. In another words, express his pain through this piece.
I think looking from the pics you'll already know how hard it would be.. try watching the video and listening to the song.

Signing off!
